Pets

Some people likes to collect pets.

I know of one person who does. He likes it because pets to him, are easy to maintain & easily disposable.

I walked into his pet shop yesterday & there were:

1. Dog
Loyal, although not a very smart animal. Always sincerely believing, but sincerely wrong.

2. Cat
Not loyal, but still a little adorable because can cuddle well at the right time.

3. Snake (I got phobia of snakes, so no image here)
Sly, & no loyalty. But survives because it knows where the wind blows.

4. Bull
Hot tempered, but beyond the temper, has a simple heart.

5. Fishes
Always kept in a tank, so had no idea how the outside world functions.

What an interesting pet shop!

Too bad, I'm not into pets.

World's Shortest Man Died

AFP - Tuesday, March 16

The world's shortest man, He Pingping, who stood just over two feet five inches tall (75 cm), has died, Britain's Guinness World Records said Monday. He was 21.

He -- a native of China who had a form of primordial dwarfism and measured 74.61 centimetres -- was in Rome taking part in a television show when he suffered chest problems.

He was taken to hospital, where he died over the weekend.

Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of London-based Guinness World Records, recalled measuring He in the northern Chinese region of Inner Mongolia in 2008.

"For such a small man, he made a huge impact around the world," Glenday said.

"From the moment I laid on eyes on him, I knew he was someone special -- he had such a cheeky smile and mischievous personality, you couldn't help but be charmed by him," he said.

"He brightened up the lives of everyone he met, and was an inspiration to anyone considered different or unusual."

I had watched videos of him on TV before & remembered him as a cheerful fellow despite his differences. He is a great inspiration of how we can live life depending on how we perceive it.

Life is not complicated. It is only complicated when we perceived it to be.
Happiness is a pursuit. It is not a destination, but a journey.

Xiaxue resembles Sun Ho?

I always think Xiaxue has some resemblances to Sun Ho, but James always disagrees with me.

They have the same blond hair, freckles, smile, face shape, etc. Sun Ho is all-time natural beauty while Xiaxue (when she's in her makeover looks with extremely thick makeup) is like a younger version of Sun. What do you think?

The Infamous RIS LOW

Another new entertainment of the infamous Ris Low - Video of Safe Sex with Ris Low! She's trying very hard to stay in the limelight, so here I am doing her a great favor ;) Anyway, she's now the spokeperson for Espire condoms, so that probably explains the video.

Frankly I don't really like her even though I don't know her personally, haha! But I'm pretty impressed by how she turned things around. From a mountain of rotten news to earning advertisment endorsement fees, she just somehow turned things to her side. At least she's doing some good deed by advertising about safe sex.

PCK also pulled a great one on her! Hilarious! Gotta watch him imitate her!

Bart Simpsons is an ID!

Did you know that Bart Simpsons is intellectually challenged? Bart suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder. His lack of intelligence can also be attributed to the hereditary "Simpson Gene", which affects the intelligence of most male members of the Simpson family.

But don't ever depise him just because he is intellectually challenged. Bart's song, "Do the Bartman" was actually written by Michael Jackson! In 1991, it was the number 1 song in the UK for three weeks and was the 7th best-selling song of the year. It sold half a million copies then.

.

1st time probably in cartoon history where reality exists in a unreal world!

Well Done, Nurses!

My brother was re-admitted to A&E yesterday, so I'm here at the hospital now to accompany him. I observed some interesting events while here. There are 3 elderly patients in his ward. Let's name them E1, E2, & E3.

E1 is very old, probably around 80 years old. He kept grumbling to himself about his discomfort & scolded his maid non-stop.
E1: I'm feeling terrible. Bring me to the hospital. There got nurses to take care of me.
2 social workers came up to test if he's senile. He could answer their questions well. He is clearly not senile or unconscious, yet he doesn't know that he's already in hospital?!

E2, for no apparent reason, went to sit at the empty chair besides E3. I was amazed when E3 was so upset & disturbed by it. He even complained to the nurse when she's on her round to dispense the medicine.

Nurse: It's just a chair, you don't have to be so bothered by it.
E3: I want E2 to apologise.
Nurse: There's no need for an apology. It's just a chair, & it's meant to be shared in the room.
E3: I want E2 to apologise.
Nurse: If you are unhappy, I can change the chair for you.
E3 continues to throw a tantrum.
Nurse: You let me finish dispensing the medicine to the rest of the patients first. Then I'll come back to you.
E3 refused to let the nurse go. She has no choice but to sit down with him & tried to pacify him.
Nurse: Have you walked today?
(I thought it was wierd she asked this question).
E3: Yes, to the toilet.
Nurse: That's not really walking. You rest first. Half an hour later, I'll come back. I'll bring you for a walk.
(I wonder why she want to bring him for a walk suddenly)...
E3 continues to rattles on...
Nurse: You have been lying down too long, that's why you think too much. I'll bring you for a walk so you won't think so much.
(Now I understand).
The nurse didn't turn up for the walk but a psychologist did...

E2 is discharged today, & he refused to take his bag of medicine home. Another nurse came to talk to him.
E2: I don't want to bring the medicine home. You give it to the hospital.
Nurse: You'd paid $35 for the medicine. You'll bring it home.
E2: I don't want. I have a lot of them at home already. You give it to the hospital.
Nurse: The hospital has a lot of them too. Since you have already paid for them, you bring it home.
E2: I don't want. They're so heavy.
Looking at the small plastic bag, I wonder how heavy can it fetch?

Have the patients become so bored that they have become grumpy? Or is it because of their age that they have a fixed mindset & ideas about how they see life & things?

The way the nurses handled these situations have reflected their patience & care for their patients. Cheers to them!
